Israel's stretching as far
as the Eufrates
Deutoronomy 1:7 Break camp and advance into the hill country of the
Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains,
in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of
the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.
8 See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land
that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers--to Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob--and to their descendants after them. 8 See, I have given you
this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would
give to your fathers--to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob--and to their descendants
after them."
Deutoronomy 11:24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours:
Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates
River to the western sea.
Joshua 1:3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as
I promised Moses. 4 Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon,
and from the great river, to the Euphrates--all the Hittite country--to
the Great Sea on the west.
Psalm 80:8 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and
planted it. 9 You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled
the land. 10 The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars
with its branches. 11 It sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far
as the River.

Negotiate with
people in the Land (Arabs presently) or Divide the land
Exodus 23:32 Do not make
a covenant with them or with their gods. 33 Do not let them live in your
land, or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their
gods will certainly be a snare to you."
Exodus 34:12 Be careful not to make a treaty
with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be
a snare among you.
Exodus 34:15 "Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the
land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to
them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices.
Deuteronomy 7:2 And when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you
and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty
with them, and show them no mercy.
Deuteronomy 17:1 When the LORD your God brings you into the land you
are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations--the Hittites,
Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven
nations larger and stronger than you-- 2 and when the LORD your God has delivered
them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally.
Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.
Deuteronomy 23:6 Do not seek a treaty of friendship
with them as long as you live - Ammonite or Moabite or any of their
descendants.
Ezra 9:12 Therefore, do not give your daughters in marriage
to their sons or take their daughters for your sons. Do not seek a treaty
of friendship with them at any time, that you may be strong and eat the
good things of the land and leave it to your children as an everlasting
inheritance.'
An example of the disaster a treaty can turn into was seen with
the Gibeonites:
Joshua 9:16 Three days after they made the treaty with the Gibeonites,
the Israelites heard that they were neighbors, living near them -[Not far
away as they had pretended].
I Samuel 11:1 Nahash the Ammonite went up and besieged Jabesh
Gilead. And all the men of Jabesh said to him, "Make a treaty with us, and
we will be subject to you.2 But Nahash the Ammonite replied, "I will make
a treaty with you only on the condition that I gouge out the right eye of
every one of you and so bring disgrace on all Israel.

The disaster the Oslo Treaty has
turned into is reflected by:
Isaiah 33:7 Look, their brave men cry aloud in the streets; the envoys
of peace weep bitterly. 8 The highways are deserted, no travelers are on
the roads. The treaty is broken, its witnesses are despised, no one is respected.
Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director: International
Christian Zionist Center wrote (after the assasination of Minister Rachavan
Zeevi):
"It is as if G-d has had to shake Israel awake that unless they will now
deal with this scourge of terror and bring it forcefully to a halt, even
as the US government has decided to do, that there will be no respite from
it.
Just as President Bush's government announced in relation
to the Taliban, no treaty or negotiations will do.
This is also the lesson from the Bible, which tells
us that when the weak, immoral king of Israel, Ahab, made a treaty with the
cruel Syrian king Ben Hadad, the Lord said to him: "Thus says the Lord: Because
you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction,
therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people."(See
1 Kings 20: 9-43)
Divide Land
Joel 3:2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley
of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning
my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the
nations and divided up my land.
Wealth
Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for
it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his
covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
Isaiah 60:5 Then you will look and be radiant,
your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be
brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.
Isaiah 60:9 Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships
of Tarshish, bringing your sons from afar, with their silver and gold, to
the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed
you with splendor
Isaiah 60:11 Your gates (O Israel) will always
stand open, they will never be shut, day or night, so that men may bring
you the wealth of the nations!
FALSE
Peace
Jeremiah 6:14 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no
peace.
Ezekiel 7:25 When terror comes, they will seek peace, but there
will be none.
Ezekiel 13:10 "'Because they lead my people astray, saying, "Peace,"
when there is no peace, and because, when a flimsy wall is built, they cover
it with whitewash.

ANGEL (&/or MESSIAH)OF
GOD = GOD
Genesis 16:9 Then the angel of the LORD told her, "Go back to your mistress
and submit to her." 10 The angel added, "I will so increase your descendants
that they will be too numerous to count." 11 The angel of the LORD also said
to her: "You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him
Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. 12 He will be a wild donkey
of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him,
and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." 13 She gave this
name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she
said, "I have now seen the One who sees me." 14 That is why the well was
called Beer Lahai Roi; it is still there, between Kadesh and
Bered.
Genesis 16:15 The angel of the LORD called to Abraham
from heaven a second time 16 and said, "I swear by myself, declares the LORD,
that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only
son, 17 I will surely bless you.
Genesis 16:15 Then he blessed Joseph and said, "May the
God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been
my shepherd all my life to this day, 16 the Angel who has delivered me from
all harm --may he bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the
names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly upon
the earth."
Exodus 3:2 There the angel of the LORD appeared to him
in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was
on fire it did not burn up. 3 So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this
strange sight--why the bush does not burn up." 4 When the LORD saw that he
had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!"
And Moses said, "Here I am." 5 "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take
off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy
ground."
Exodus 23:20 "See, I am sending an angel ahead of you
to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
21 Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against
him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
The THREE MEN who visited Abraham weren't called angels, but
one was definitely God or Messiah:
Genesis 18:2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing
nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet
them and bowed low to the ground. 3 He said, "If I have found favor in your
eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by. 4 Let a little water be brought,
and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree...9 "Where is
your wife Sarah?" they asked him. "There, in the tent," he said. 10 Then
the LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year,
and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance
to the tent, which was behind him. |
